These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are entered into between you and ATN Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, whose registered address is Ask The Network, PO Box 8169, WELLINGBOROUGH, NN8 9PH, United Kingdom (“ATN”, “we”, “our”, “us”)

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

These Terms govern your access to and use of the Ask The Network platform, website, and related services (the “Platform”).

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. PLATFORM DESCRIPTION

Ask The Network (ATN) is a knowledge-sharing and collaboration platform that enables users to:

  • submit questions
  • share insights and professional expertise
  • participate in discussions and webinars
  • access research, lived experience, and sector knowledge

The Platform may include AI-assisted features that summarise, organise, and surface content.

3. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.

The Platform is intended for individuals and organisations engaging with, studying, or contributing to sectors such as social justice, health, research, policy, and related fields.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • students and individuals in education
  • early-career professionals
  • subject matter experts and experienced practitioners
  • academics and researchers
  • senior professionals and organisational leaders
  • partner organisations and institutions
  • individuals contributing lived experience or relevant insight

By using the Platform, you confirm that:

  • You meet the minimum age requirement; and
  • You are using the Platform in a manner consistent with its purpose as a professional knowledge-sharing and collaboration environment.

ATN reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or remove access where use of the Platform is inconsistent with its intended purpose.

4. USER ACCOUNTS

To access certain features, you may need to create an account.

You agree to:

  • provide accurate and complete information
  • Keep your login credentials secure.
  • Notify us of any unauthorised use.

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

5. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:

  • post unlawful, harmful, misleading, or abusive content
  • harass or harm other users
  • upload malicious software
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data
  • submit content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights

ATN reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove, restrict, or modify any content, or suspend or terminate user access, where it considers such action necessary to:

  • maintain the integrity, quality, or purpose of the Platform;
  • protect users, partners, or the reputation of the Platform; or
  • ensure compliance with these Terms or applicable laws.

ATN reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms.

6. USER CONTENT AND RIGHTS

6.1. OWNERSHIP

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Platform, including research, responses, and other contributions.

By submitting content, you grant ATN the rights necessary to use, process, analyse, and incorporate such content into aggregated, anonymised, and AI-generated outputs as part of the Platform.

6.2. LICENCE TO ATN

By submitting content to the Platform, you grant ATN a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to:

  • use, host, store, reproduce, process, analyse, display, modify, adapt, and create derivative works from your content; and
  • incorporate your content into aggregated, anonymised, and AI-generated outputs for the purposes of operating, improving, and developing the Platform.

6.3. AGGREGATION AND DERIVED OUTPUTS

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Your content may be anonymised and aggregated with other content.
  • Your content may be used to generate summaries, insights, and AI-derived outputs.
  • Such outputs may not be attributable to you:

All rights in:

- the Platform

- its structure

- aggregated datasets

- anonymised insights

- and AI-generated outputs

remain the property of ATN.

Where ATN collaborates with partner organisations, such partners may:

  • contribute to the design and development of subject-specific areas of the Platform;
  • provide input on how their content, research, or data is used, linked, or presented;
  • provide input or guidance relating to the credibility, relevance, or appropriate use of content within defined subject areas;

Any such input or guidance is advisory in nature. ATN retains sole discretion and control over all decisions relating to the operation of the Platform, including the use, presentation, and linking of content.

6.4. NO RIGHT TO REMOVAL OF DERIVED OUTPUTS

You acknowledge that where your content has been anonymised, aggregated, or incorporated into AI-generated outputs:

  • It may not be possible to remove all derived outputs.
  • Such outputs may continue to be used as part of the Platform.

including where content has been anonymised, aggregated, or processed by AI systems.

7. AI-GENERATED CONTENT

The Platform may use artificial intelligence to:

  • summarise content
  • organise information
  • Recommend relevant insights
  • provide links to relevant research or publications

AI-generated outputs:

  • are provided for informational purposes only
  • may not be accurate or complete
  • do not constitute professional, legal, or medical advice

The Platform is intended as a knowledge-sharing environment only and does not provide professional advice. Users are solely responsible for how they interpret and use any content available on the Platform and should seek independent professional advice where appropriate. Users should not rely on it as a substitute for professional advice.

8. PARTNER AND THIRD-PARTY CONTENT

ATN may include content provided by partner organisations, institutions, and third parties.

ATN works with partners to support the development of credible, high-quality knowledge within defined subject areas. Partners may contribute expertise, research, and input into how content is presented, linked, and contextualised within the Platform.

However:

  • content contributed by users, including responses to questions, may not be reviewed or verified by ATN or its partners;
  • AI-generated outputs are produced automatically and may not always be complete or accurate.

While ATN seeks to promote reliable and high-quality information through its platform design and partnerships, it does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of all content available on the Platform.

Users and partners are responsible for ensuring that any data they provide complies with applicable laws, including data protection and consent requirements.

9. PAYMENTS AND MEMBERSHIPS

The Platform may offer paid memberships or services.

  • Payments are processed through third-party providers.
  • Fees are as stated at the point of purchase
  • Subscriptions may renew unless cancelled

ATN reserves the right to modify pricing, membership structures, or features.

Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

9.1. MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

ATN’s decisions regarding membership eligibility, classification, and tier assignment are final and made at its sole discretion.

The Platform may offer different membership tiers designed to support users at different stages of experience and participation.

These may include:

Bronze Membership

Intended for individuals who are:

  • students
  • early-career professionals
  • individuals beginning to engage with relevant sectors

This tier provides access to foundational content and participation opportunities.

Silver Membership

Intended for individuals with established expertise, including:

  • subject matter experts
  • experienced practitioners
  • academics and researchers
  • senior professionals (including leadership roles such as directors or executives)

This tier may include enhanced participation, contribution, and engagement opportunities.

Gold Membership

Intended for organisations, partners, or institutions collaborating with the Platform.

This may include:

  • organisational participation
  • partnership-based engagement
  • access to additional features or collaboration opportunities

ATN reserves the right to:

  • determine eligibility for membership tiers;
  • modify the features, access, or structure of membership tiers;
  • Reassign or reclassify users where appropriate.

10. PLATFORM AVAILABILITY

We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

The Platform may be unavailable due to:

  • maintenance
  • updates
  • technical issues

11. TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

  • You breach these Terms
  • Your use creates risk or harm

You may terminate your account at any time.

12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All intellectual property rights in the Platform, including:

  • software
  • systems
  • architecture
  • design
  • branding
  • and underlying technology

are owned by ATN or its licensors.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Platform to users.

13. ANONYMITY AND USER RESPONSIBILITY

The Platform is designed to support knowledge sharing, including anonymous contributions at the user interface level.

However:

  • ATN does not guarantee complete anonymity at a technical level.
  • certain system-level data (such as account information, IP addresses, or logs) may still be processed;
  • Users are responsible for avoiding disclosure of sensitive personal information where anonymity is desired.

14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ATN shall not be liable for:

  • indirect or consequential losses
  • loss of data
  • loss of profits or opportunities
  • reliance on content or AI-generated outputs

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ATN makes no representations or warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, reliable, or suitable for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ATN’s total liability to you for any claims arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform shall not exceed:

  • the total amount paid by you to ATN in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
  • £100 if you have not paid for access to the Platform.

Users access and use the Platform at their own discretion and risk.

15. INDEMNITY

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ATN, its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising out of or in connection with:

  • your use of the Platform;
  • any content you submit, post, or share;
  • your breach of these Terms;
  • your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

16. CHANGES TO TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ATN in relation to your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or communications, whether written or oral. You acknowledge that you have not relied on any representation or statement not expressly set out in these Terms.

18. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

19. NO WAIVER

If ATN does not enforce any provision of these Terms, this does not constitute a waiver of its rights. Any waiver must be in writing and shall not affect ATN’s ability to enforce the same or any other provision in the future.

20. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

You agree that any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
